At all stages of the infant's development, until he is able to walk, the newly arrived creature is practicing critical skills. Coordination, muscle strengthening, balance and the ability to support one's weight from one leg to the other are some of them. Each new skill builds on a previous one and little by little, the baby gains the confidence and security to stand proudly on his own two feet.
