Our Colombian hammock chairs reflect the diversity and energy of South America. Domingo is woven and manufactured by our partner Fatelares, located in Medellín, Colombia. How and where can I hang my hammock?

There are many ways to hang your hammock chair: for example, using a beam, a strong branch or on the ceiling. Regardless of which option you choose, you should make sure that you check the load-bearing capacity of the elements before hanging them.

If none of these alternatives are available to you, a hanging chair frame is a great option for bringing a hammock chair into your home. It can be placed wherever you want and moved as needed.

How much space do I need to hang my hammock?

When hanging your hammock chair, you should make sure there is enough space between the ends of the spreader bar and walls, furniture or other objects. Depending on the size of your hammock chair, the minimum distance required from the wall is up to 35.5 inches. The required ceiling height ranges from 6'7" for our basic hammock chairs to 7'3" for our kingsize options.

Always make sure your hammock chair swings freely and doesn't graze the floor – 12 inches off the ground is recommended. This will protect your new chair from damage and keep you comfortable in a hammock.

Which position is most comfortable in the hammock?

In our Basic hammock chair it is best enjoyed in a sitting position. Are you looking for enough space to sit or lie down? Our Comfort model offers a generous chair-bed. Want even more space to relax? Then you can stretch out with your family or friends on our king size hammock and enjoy it sitting and lying down.

Can I wash my hammock?

To refresh, you can wash your hammock chair at 86 degrees F on a gentle cycle. The hammock chair bed fabric can be easily removed from the spreader bar for quick washing. Before washing, we recommend tying the suspension cords together to prevent tangling. After washing, you should air dry the hammock chair for best results. We do not recommend using a dryer.
